The Mila Test Centre has been UKAS accredited since 2002, and operates to provide a class leading test and research facility for window, door and conservatory fabricators across the UK.
The Test Centre is accredited to test to PAS 23 (general performance of doors), PAS 24 (enhanced security performance of doors) and BS 7950 (enhanced security performance of windows). We also carry out indicative product testing to BS 6375:1(weather performance of windows) and BS 6375:1 (operation and strength of windows and doors) and benefit from our own salt spray machine.
Located in separate, modern premises adjacent to it's sister company Mila Hardware, the Mila Test Centre is a dedicated resource which has evolved from its original purpose as Mila’s in-house testing department into an impressive and dynamic facility used by customers throughout the industry.
The Mila Test Centre is staffed by highly trained and skilled technicians and is equipped with the very latest machinery, including two cycle testing rigs, a hard and soft body rig, a mechanical loading rig, weather testing and salt spray machines.
Our friendly and experienced team will inform customers on what each of the tests involve and advise on how to submit products for testing.
The newest innovations at the Test Centre include a ‘Product Development Testing Day’ which allows customers to book the facilities - and one of our technicians if required - to test and evaluate the performance of new hardware and fenestration solutions. For customers who have gained certification at the Test Centre a 'Product Training Day' is available, sales orientated, to showcase their products to their customers sales teams - demonstrating the real benefits of their products achieving these demanding industry standards with illustrative tests.
